Eligibility is based upon dates of service, discharge status, and need for care.
Basically these are: 1. Wartime Veteran - must have served one day during a period of war, with at least a total of 90 days of active duty. Dates which are considered "periods of war": (need one day of active service during this time)
2. Must have received any discharge status other than dishonorable. 3. Must now need the assistance of another individual to assist you with at least one activity of daily living*.
